CREATS International

Community Resource for Empowerment, Agriculture, and Training Services

Partnering with rural communities in Kenya to create sustainable transformation through agricultural development, education, and economic empowerment

About CREATS International

Celebrating 10 years of transforming communities from surviving to thriving

The Center for Rural Empowerment and Agricultural Transformation for Sustainability (CREATS International) is a U.S. 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that has operated as a Community-Based Organization in Kenya since 2015. Founded in Homa Bay County, CREATS dismantles the social, cultural, and economic barriers that hold marginalized communities—especially women and youth—from thriving through inclusive rural industrialization, food security, climate resilience, and women-led entrepreneurship.

Their holistic approach addresses the interconnected challenges facing rural populations. Through capacity building in sustainable farming, agroecology, and regenerative agriculture, combined with access to agricultural inputs, market linkages, and financial resources, CREATS creates lasting change that ripples through entire communities. To date, they have served more than 32,000 farmers across Homa Bay County.

Communities thriving through sustainable development and empowerment

Bible Ministries International partners with CREATS International in raising awareness of their transformative work in rural Kenya. We share a vision of communities where people have access to the resources, knowledge, and opportunities they need to thrive. Through this partnership of awareness, we help amplify CREATS' mission of empowering marginalized communities through sustainable development.

"Also, we have partnered with BIBLE MINISTRIES INTERNATIONAL. We hope these partnerships will help us achieve our goal of transforming communities from surviving to thriving."

Future Vision: In collaboration with CREATS International, we hope to leverage the innovations of Open Source Ecology—a separate organization that develops open-source industrial machines for sustainable development. Through this future partnership, we aspire to act as a conduit to bring these obsolescence-free innovations to communities in Kenya, helping them transition from merely surviving to thriving.
